Battle of the Books
The Battle of the Books program is a reading incentive program designed to encourage fourth and fifth grade students to read and participate in a friendly competition with their peers. All students read the same books that have been designated by the state and Guilford County Schools.
The Oak Ridge Elementary Battle of the Books club will have an Interest Meeting on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 2:30 - 3:30 PM in the Media Center.
Last year's ORE's Battle of the Books began as a club. As students read books, attended meetings, took practice tests of books and authors, and completed homework assignments, they achieved points. The top 12 students with the most points was the ORES traveling team which went to UNC-G for the county wide competition held in March 2017.
Here is the 2017-2018 of titles and authors.
If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Dalton, Media Specialist, at ORES.
